Born in Athens. George is a dynamic dreamer with an irresistible impulse to travel and an innovative Landscape Architect and Urban designer. Art was always a refuge for him. Cinema nourished his imagination, music developed inner feelings, and painting opened up new, exciting horizons. Expanding cities and the ways in-which societies interact and understand the environments they inhabit together with modes of design that enable and promote place making and spatial identity within those landscapes, inspired his vision. He lived in the UK (Edinburgh, London) for 12 years and following graduation he worked at Gillespies_London Ltd for 2 and half years. He has studied and designed projects in UK, Kuala Lumbur, UAU, Asia and Greece, where he currently lives and works.
His guiding design philosophy is to put nature at the center stage of innovative and poetic landscapes. Each project is a unique opportunity to come up with environments that somehow touch and affect people’s lives. He always tackles different contexts, including sites, cultures, clients, and co-partners reflecting contemporary age and embracing the five senses as the means to reach the soul, as every space and garden are imbued with delicate sensations. He experiments with hardscape and softscape, he continuously develops a vast plant selection, and usually integrates water elements as a strong mean for catharsis and rebirth. He values teamwork and companionship and soars positive energy by valuable friends.
